Over the weekend, Georges Laraque called out Ryan Reaves over his play against Montreal, and now a former Maple Leaf Tie Domi has stood up for No. 75.

The Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs clashed again over the weekend, with the playoff ready Leafs taking out the 4-2 victory, but the game wasn't without drama. During the encounter, Ryan Reaves was particularly dominant with his physicality, and it led to former Canadiens enforcer Georges Laraque calling him out for only performing in the absence of Arber Xhekaj.

For those who were wondering the importance of Xhekaj in the lineup, I hope you understand after yesterday's game against Toronto. Go watch the previous match between the 2 teams when Xhekaj played, Reaves was invisible, and yesterday he was driving everyone crazy! While the cat's away the mice will play!!! 😂

Now, a former Maple Leaf in Tie Domi has responded to Laraque's claims, standing up for the teammate of his son Max, as he made a statement of his own on social media.

@GeorgesLaraque you know you would have done the same thing if someone hit one of your teammates like Pezzetta on Kampf. Reavo is playing great & getting ready for the playoffs he didn't want to fight but he had too
George I love ya brotherhood always sticks together💪💪🏽❤️

It is true that Reaves only went after Michael Pezzetta to drop the gloves following a questionable hit, and given that the playoffs are just a few weeks away, Reaves certainly can't help absences on the other team as he continues to get prepped for what could be a deep run in Toronto.
