A former first-overall pick in the NHL draft was arrested yesterday after getting into a fight at a bar.
Berard Arrested
Bryan Berard was the first overall pick in the 1995 NHL entry draft and had stints with the Maple Leafs before injuries shuttered his career. According to reports, he was picked up yesterday following an incident at a Rhode Island Bar.

Resisting Arrest
Reports indicate that Berard was seen talking with, hugging, and then walking away from a man. As this was happening, Berard was pushed by another man, who he then grabbed.
Berard was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He told reporters that the incident was a misunderstanding and that he didn't know he was being arrested due to his previous eye injury.
