Back in November, the popular actor Ryan Reynolds told on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon that he was interested in buying the Ottawa Senators.

In the last hours, there's been a new development in this situation.

According to reports, it appears that Ryan Reynolds will buy the Senators.

The sale of Mint Mobile, the affordable phone service owned by Ryan Reynolds' undisclosed group, to T-Mobile for a staggering $1 billion has sparked speculation that they may be accumulating funds for a major purchase, such as a hockey team.

The results could be revealed sooner than anticipated.

Bettman said, during a press conference after the GM meeting, that Reynolds shouldn't be underestimated.

It's clear from this video that he has the support of the fans!

Finally, according to Darren Dreger, the initial bids for the team have begun and are currently under review.

More details will follow.
