NHL Struggles
After the NHL's first Stanley Cup Final on TNT, ESPN, and ABC, the numbers are out, and they're not good. Game 5 was the least-watched final in almost 30 years, with only 2.72 million viewers. It was even less popular than the 1994 final between the New York Rangers and the Vancouver Canucks. However, it's important to note that the low viewership could be because people in New York couldn't watch due to a regional coverage issue. This might mean that this recent series was the least-watched Stanley Cup Final in TV history.
The NHL has been struggling with marketing for a while. People today have the internet and lots of entertainment options. Why would they spend three hours watching a game when they can just watch short highlights on platforms like TikTok or YouTube?

Dana White, the President of UFC, knows how to attract viewers. He's a famous businessman and millionaire.
The NELK Boys, youtubers, recently said that the NHL refused to work with them. But White supported them.
