The Toronto Maple Leafs suffered a heartbreaking loss last night in Game 7 against the Boston Bruins. After the game, several players from both teams addressed the media. However, two Maple Leafs stars Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly left the arena and refused to do so.

After the Toronto Maple Leafs loss to the Boston Bruins fans were hoping to hear from players and learn what went wrong. This is especially true for Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly who were directly involved in the play that led to the overtime goal.
Instead, both players dipped out after the game without making any comments.
Marner and Rielly not addressing the media after game 7 is a joke btw. 2 guys with letters make mistakes on the final goal and they can't even go out there and own it. Would not care if they were not back next year.
Since the end of the game Mitch Marner in particular has faced a ton of backlash on social media for his play and perceived selfishness.
that should do it for Mitch Marner as a Toronto Maple Leaf. held out for one of the highest AAVs in the league and has completely no-showed in literally every high leverage playoff moment he's ever been in. this era is over.
If you can sit here and defend Mitch Marner for how he played tonight then you need a smack in the head. I'm so tired of people defending this garbage playoff player. Guy asks for Matthews' money when he shows this kind of effort? GET OFF MY TEAM
The Toronto Maple Leafs are going to have a locker cleanout in the coming days. When that day comes the media likely will speak to both Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly. Beyond what went wrong they will now have to face questions about not facing the music immediately after Game 7.
