There was no Mitch Marner magic in overtime, but rather a mix of Pasta. David Pastrnak got the last laugh, netting the series winner as the Boston Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leads 2-1 in Game 7 at TD Garden.

The play was magical as Hampus Lindholm intentionally dumped the puck into the offensive zone, which bounced off the right corner boards and straight to Pastrnak, who went forehand, backhand, and elevated the puck over Ilya Samsonav's pad. Yet the play couldn't have happened without a mental mistake from Mitch Marner.

As soon as the overtime period kicked off, Marner hit the ice just as Pastrnak was revving up for a crucial play in the neutral zone. Now, Marner knows all about Pastrnak's speed, so he should've been all over him. Yet, instead, he stopped skating. And that left poor Morgan Rielly hanging out to dry, trying to fend off Pastrnak alone. He was flat-footed as the puck got by him, and that was it. Watching it live, you knew once Pastrnak got to the puck, it was over, and it was from Marner losing his man.
