The Ottawa Senators are a mess this year. With coaching changes and the team sitting in the basement of their division, anything is possible for the Senators. However, fans didn't really think that they could be considering trading Brady Tkachuk, but that happens to be the current rumour making its way around.
Ryan Whitney of Spittin Chiclets has shared that he has heard the Senators are considering moving Tkachuk, even though they are just out of the playoff picture and have games in hand.

The Senators are obviously still trying to form their perfect roster. While they have a good young core, there is clearly room for improvement. However, they have invested in Brady Tkachuk leading this rebuild, so trading him would mean a clean start, something they aren't likely considering.
