In order to make room for a new player, Treliving will certainly need to make room on his roster, and everything points to the fact that Called Jarnkrok could be the one to be traded away.
He's a strong player with a decent contract that's attractive for the Leafs. But that might make him just what another team is looking for, especially if the Leafs want to improve their defense.
Jarnkrok is valuable. He's able to kill penalties and has offensive talent. Last season, he scored 20 goals with the Leafs.
He's an excellent addition for any team looking for offensive depth, all while costing only 2.1 million against the salary cap.
The Toronto Maple Leafs to Make a Decision on Jarnkrok: He Could Stay With the Team
There's growing excitement among fans about the idea of keeping Jarnkrok, especially considering what the team could achieve in the playoffs with him back in the lineup.
Jarnkrok in for Reaves then a deadline add in for Lagesson and that's probably as optimal as it's gonna get this season.
It'll be interesting to see what moves Brad Treliving decides to make, with less than two weeks before the trade deadline.
