The scrum happened after a Florida chance nearly got by Charlie Lindgren. Mantha appeared to take exception to something Cousins did as he immediately went after him as the whistle was being blown. To the surprise of many, the Panthers forward actually dropped the gloves.

That being said, perhaps he should not have, as he quickly found out that he is no match for the much larger Capitals forward. Of course, Cousins got the points where it counts on the scoreboard. He opened the scoring in the game to give the Panthers the 1-0 lead.
The team would go on to win the contest 3-2 in overtime.
