Corey Perry has been traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for a 2024 7th round pick! Perry is a pending unrestricted free agent and will have the Blackhawks try to work out a contract with him.
Perry will provide leadership to a young team and will help mentor players like Lukas Reichel and Connor Bedard if he decides to sign in Chicago.
Tampa was not going to resign Perry so they get assets for a player who would have left for nothing.
