He also made health updates about the other injuries that struck the Leafs in the playoffs:
"Injury updates from Brad Treliving:
Auston Matthews -- became really sick after Gm 2, suffered a hit in Gm 4 that presented "head injury" issues
William Nylander -- severe migraines
Joe Woll -- sprained back
Bobby McMann -- MCL knee sprain
Connor Dewar -- shoulder surgery"
Dewar moved from the Minnesota Wild to the Maple Leafs at the last trade deadline. Treliving sent a 2026 fourth-round pick to acquire the 24-year-old center.
Since he joined the Leafs, he scored five points, including one goal, in 17 regular-season games, as well as one assist in six playoff games.
The 5'10", 178 lbs forward is set to become a restricted free agent this summer.
It'll be interesting to see if Brad Treliving and the Leafs decide to keep him on board, but with all that's going on in Toronto, management will likely focus on getting other things done before dealing with Dewar, such as dealing with unrestricted free agents like Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi.
