GM Brad Treliving Shares the Latest on Leafs' Head Coach Sheldon Keefe

Brad Treliving has revealed his thoughts on Sheldon Keefe leading to fans wondering if an extension will be coming soon.

Recently, Brad Treliving and Auston Matthews spoke to the media regarding Matthews' extension. While the focus of the press conference was on Matthews, Brad Treliving was able to answer a few questions about other Leafs.

Keefe Extension Soon?

While we do not have any word on if Sheldon Keefe will be extended soon, we can be certain that it is trending in the right direction. The addition of Brad Treliving and the firing of Kyle Dubas cemented Keefe's position with the Leafs.

With Keefe and Treliving in good spirits, we could see an extension come by the time training camp starts but we could also see Treliving wait things out in case he wants to see if Keefe can deliver.

With the Leafs finally making it out of the first round, the focus shifts from the Leafs inability to make it out of the first round to the Leafs inability to win the cup. Keefe will certainly do his best coaching a team to the cup but only time will tell if he can get there.
