Shane Wright Cut From Seattle Kraken, Sent to AHL
In breaking news, the Seattle Kraken announced today that they have assigned Shane Wright to their AHL affiliate Coachella Valley. This news comes after the Kraken and Wright received an exemption that will allow him to play in the AHL instead of being sent back to finish his junior career in the CHL.

Wright had a very notable camp, performing well in Seattle's preseason games. Last year's fourth-overall pick will continue his development this season in Coachella Valley, and it is likely he will play some games with the Kraken if they need to call him up.
