Gudas Explains his Decision
Gudas had several offers from top teams like the Leafs and the Oilers. Even the Flames tried to get him. But he decided to stick with the Ducks.
The reason for his surprising choice lies in Gudas' preference not to play for a Canadian team.
"In an interview with DenikSport, Radko Gudas said that he received offers from CGY & EDM & TOR. But he didn't want to play in Canada, especially in Toronto. He said the media pressure in the playoffs was crazy. He felt it even though he only played for Florida & not Toronto."
There you have it! Gudas really didn't want to play in Canada and chose the sunny skies of California instead.
