During the Florida Panthers' blowout loss last night, Matthew Tkachuk lost his cool on Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers, leading to a penalty that had fans buzzing about a potential suspension.

The Stanley Cup Finals have been a thrill so far. The Panthers took a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Oilers, yet they were in three tightly contested games. Yet in Game 4, the Oilers showed life, dominating the Panthers with an 8-1 victory.
EDM did a great job pushing the pace out of the defensive zone and stretching the ice last night.

Created a little separation and disconnect between the layers of FLA coverages and they were able to exploit that for four goals
Amidst the rout, Tkachuk took a senseless penalty by going after a defenseless McDavid, leading some fans to believe he might face suspension.
Things are getting spicy in Edmonton 😳
However, with it now past 5 PM EST, Tkachuk won't face any discipline for the incident, meaning he's cleared to play in Game 5.
Now that 5 pm EST has passed, it is official that Matthew Tkachuk will NOT be receiving any supplementary discipline for jumping a defenseless Connor McDavid
