Gruesome Injury Caught On Video, View Discretion Is Advised

Former Penguin Adam Johnson suffered a horrific injury today when his throat was cut inadvertently by a skate in his game in the top pro league of the UK, the EIHL.

A video of the incident has surfaced on X. It shows Johnson take the skate to his neck and then he tries to skate off the ice with the help of a teammate as blood is gushing from his neck, soaking his white jersey. Once again, be warned, this video is extremely graphic. Several fans in attendance said it was the worst thing they had ever seen.

Johnson did not make it to the bench. As paramedics rushed to help him, players from both teams formed a human wall around him to shield him from the fans. Shortly after, privacy screens were brought to the ice and the fans in attendance were asked to leave. Due to the nature of the injury, the game did not resume. There has been no update on his condition since he was taken to the hospital.
Since news of the injury broke, there has been an outpouring of support from the hockey world.
