The Vegas Golden Knights are a team that know how to exploit the salary cap rules of the NHL well, with other teams like Tampa Bay doing the same, but it appears Vegas are making this a habit.
Two star players out clears up plenty of space for Vegas
Unfortunately, Vegas are doing this a little more than other teams, as their latest roster move sees captain
Mark Stone head to LTIR, clearing up $17 million in cap space ahead of the trade deadline.
Kelly McCrimmon, the General Manager of the Vegas Golden Knights, said that Mark Stone will be out for awhile. If the Golden Knights put him on LTIR, they will have a space over $17M under the cap before the Trade Deadline.

With some solid future assets, the Golden Knights are now ready to make a splash ahead of the trade deadline, but it's certainly a move that's not going down well with opposing fans.
Fans furious at Golden Knights obvious attempts to circumvent the salary cap
While Vegas are likely to use that salary cap space to make a move, it is worth noting that Stone has had career threatening injuries over the past few years, but with both he and Eichel out, they become easy targets of opposing fan bases.
So Eichel and Stone on LTIR before the deadline to free up 10mil to bring in more players for the playoffs. Game 1 Round 1 they're magically healthy again. Clear as day they're exploiting the cap. Year after year. Fix your damn league
Ultimately, if this type of move is allowed under the NHL's salary cap rules, no one can truly blame the Golden Knights for making such moves, but if this keeps happening year after year, the NHL will need to step in and make some type of change.
