The Toronto Maple Leafs are on the verge of playing in a crucial Game 7 against the Boston Bruins. Today Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe was able to provide an update on the health of star Auston Matthews heading into Game 7.

Auston Matthews has missed the last two games for the Toronto Maple Leafs with an unconfirmed injury. Despite skating on his own on game days Auston Matthews has been unable to play. Today Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe spoke to the media and gave the most encouraging update we have heard on Auston Matthews' health in a while.
Sheldon Keefe says there has been some «progress» in Auston Matthews, who skated today. No determination on his availability for Game 7.
Sheldon Keefe on Auston Matthews:

"There's been progress. He skated again here today, but no determination on his availability."
While progress is always good when working through an injury the timely manner of this situation makes progress not as impactful. The Toronto Maple Leafs have done well without Auston Matthews but could use their best player in a must win playoff game.
As the game draws closer we should get a more definitive answer on Auston Matthews' status. Once that update is provided we will pass the information along to you.
