It is no secret that the Toronto Maple Leafs fell short of their goal in their loss to the Boston Bruins. Today during a press conference GM Brad Treliving spoke about the injury struggles the team suffered through.

The Toronto Maple Leafs failed to reach the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs once again. Throughout the series against the Boston Bruins, they were without multiple stars including Auston Matthews, William Nylander, and Joseph Woll at different points. Today Brad Treliving revealed what kept these players out of the lineup.
First up is Auston Matthews who revealed himself that he was dealing with a virus. Today Brad Treliving also revealed that Auston Matthews suffered a head injury on a hit after coming back from the virus.
Treliving clarifies Auston Matthews injury. Picked up a virus after Game 2hit in Game 4, presented «head injury» issues. Was not cleared until Game 7.
He then went on to speak about William Nylander and Joseph Woll. William Nylander had the migraines that were revealed earlier this week while Joseph Woll suffered a back injury at the end of Game 6.
Injury updates from Brad Treliving:

Auston Matthews -- became really sick after Gm 2, suffered a hit in Gm 4 that presented "head injury" issues
William Nylander -- severe migraines
Joe Woll -- sprained back
Bobby McMann -- MCL knee sprain
Connor Dewar -- shoulder surgery
All of these injuries combined to make things incredibly difficult for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the playoffs. The good thing is none of them should linger into next season. With a new head coach behind the bench the Maple Leafs have a new window of opportunity to pursue the ultimate goal of a Stanley Cup.
