Auston Matthews set to play in Game 7 vs the Bruins

After missing the past 2 games against the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, superstar Auston Matthews seems ready to return to the lineup Saturday night for game 7.

Matthews arrived at TD Garden with the first group of teammates, increasing the likelihood that he will dress for game 7 on Saturday night.


Matthews will provide a massive spark to the Leafs lineup tonight if he does return, as the Leafs have only scored 4 goals in 2 games in his absence, being carried by Joseph Woll and forcing a game 7 after being down 3-1 in the series.



The first team bus is usually the bus that carries the players that will be playing in the game, and the scratches arrive closer to game time separate from the starters.


The Maple Leafs will look to avoid being the first team to lose six straight game 7's, and the return of Matthews is a great start.
