The hockey community was struck with grief over the weekend following the news of Dunc Wilson's demise.

Maple Leafs' Tribute to Wilson

In remembrance of Wilson's contributions, the Toronto Maple Leafs issued a heartfelt statement:

"We are saddened to hear of the passing of Dunc Wilson. Dunc spent two seasons with the Maple Leafs from 1973-1975 and appeared in 49 games. Our condolences are with his friends and family."


To celebrate his time with the team, they shared nostalgic images of Wilson donning the Leafs' jersey.

Dunc Wilson: In Retrospect

A Toronto-born talent, Wilson graced the NHL ice in 287 games, playing for teams such as the Flyers, Maple Leafs, Rangers, Penguins, and Canucks from 1969 to 1979. During his tenure with the Leafs, he secured a record of 17-22-7.

Upon hanging up his skates, Wilson cherished moments with his loved ones and ventured into travel. His final years were spent in the serene surroundings of Utila, Honduras, where he lived until his passing at 75.
