With the arrival of Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Tampa Bay Lightning have implemented a rule limiting their club section to fans that are wearing home team colours.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have instated a rule that allows them to ask fans that are in their club seating section to remove clothing that has away teams colours or logos. Maple Leafs Wave on twitter shared a screenshot of the policy on X,

Déjà vu in the Sunshine State.

This type of strategy was used by the Florida Panthers in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs when they limited ticket sales to U.S. residents only, barring any fans that were in Canada to purchase tickets.
Gregory Strong of the Global News found the policy on the Ticketmaster website and it stated,
"Orders by residents outside of the United States will be cancelled without notice and refunds given"

Tampa Bay has not gone as far as limiting sales of tickets, but there seems to be a trend when it comes to teams entering the Stanley Cup Playoffs and facing the Toronto Maple Leafs.
