BREAKING: NHL Forced to Change Yet Another Game Slot To Please the NFL
Today yet another NHL game is being forced to reschedule on account of the NFL playoffs. This will now be the third game in two weeks to need rescheduling due to the NFL.
NHL Forced To Change Yet Another Game Slot Due To The NFL
The NHL announced today that they would be moving the matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Detroit Red Wings from 5 pm to 7 pm. The change comes as a result of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions facing off at 3 pm the same afternoon.
NHL has moved the Jan. 21st game between #GoBolts and #LGRW from 5 PM EST to 7 PM EST, likely due to the recently scheduled NFL playoff game between #RaiseTheFlags and #AllGrit that starts at 3 P.M.
(coincidence that it's Tampa vs Detroit in both leagues on the same dayright?)

This time instead of having the game moved to before the NFL matchup the Red Wings and Lightning will face off after the highly anticipated NFL game.
This is the third time the NHL has had to bend the knee to the NFL and move a game as a result. Of course, Detroit fans are likely fine with this change as it means their Lions won a playoff game and broke their long drought.
Now much like the Pittsburgh and Buffalo fans had last week the Tampa Bay and Detroit fans will have a day filled with sports on Sunday.
