The Pittsburgh Penguins recently won the Erik Karlsson sweepstakes. He recently spoke during his introductory press conference on a wide number of topics. One of which was one of his former teams who he ripped as a compliment to his new team
Karlsson Speaks About Ottawa
While speaking to the media Karlsson made a comment directed at Assistant General Manager of the Penguins and former Ottawa Senator teammate Jason Spezza.

These Pittsburgh f***s always kicked our asses, it'll be fun being on the other side.
While the comment was made in good fun and not as an insult to the Ottawa Senators or Karlsson's time there it is still a major shot at his former team. This could reignite the rivalry between these two franchises.
Now the rivalry between the two teams will potentially be renewed during the 2023-24 season. Both teams narrowly missed the playoffs and have a good outlook to make it in. It will be interesting to see if the young hungry Sens can finally overtake the Penguins or if the veteran leadership and experience of Pittsburgh will prevail.
