A Fall From Stardom In Philly

Carter Hart was an incredible goaltending prospect who made his debut at just 20 years old. Many thought he was going to be the next perennial all-star and Vezina Trophy candidate.

However, with the Flyers' struggles to win games came a stunning fall for Hart. He has now put up three straight seasons with a save percentage below 0.910. Now he is on the trade block and could be on the move before the season begins.

A Fresh Start Out West

Despite his lack of success recently Hart is still just 24 years old which is still incredibly young for a goaltender. This means that Hart's trade value should still be quite high.

A potential trade that could work well for both sides includes the following:

MOCK TRADE

Traded to Seattle
- Carter Hart

Traded to Philadelphia
- Philipp Grubauer
- 2024 1st Round Pick
- David Goyette

Trade Analysis

This trade works out for both sides if all players involved hit their potential. Carter Hart makes the Kraken an instant contender in the West and gives them a cornerstone goaltender. Philadelphia gets back a goaltender to play during their rebuild who is dependable but not outstanding in Grubauer. They also get a future first-round pick and a top prospect in center David Goyette who has played well at the OHL level since being drafted.
