Patrick Kane's future in the NHL may have already been decided.
Kane Staying in Blue and White?
It may have been leaked by The Athletic's Arthur Staple stated that Patrick Kane might re-sign with the Rangers.
"In a best-case scenario, the Rangers don't need Kane — they will have adopted Laviolette's system quickly, the pieces added in free agency will fall into place and all will be well by November.

Staple continued saying that Patrick Kane wants to play for a Stanley Cup contender.
And then Kane has to choose them. He might choose Edmonton or Colorado, or maybe Buffalo, depending on who can squeeze a modest cap hit in and which team Kane feels has the best chance to win. I have heard he really enjoyed his brief Rangers stint and would love a shot to show what he can do there when healthy, which he definitely was not in the spring.»
Patrick Kane has been battling a hip injury for several seasons now and finally went in and get surgery for it.
Kane was limited to only 73 games last season tallying a total of 57 points split with the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers.
Kane has been ahead of schedule with his recovering showing he was already working out at the start of July.
The 35-year-old forward is still trying to win another cup and solidify himself as the best American-born forward in NHL history.
