In shocking and breaking news, Marc-Andre Fleury has signed a 1-year deal with the Minnesota Wild, a sign that he will not be retiring and will return to the NHL.

NHL insider Frank Seravalli has reported that Marc-Andre Fleurty will not be retiring from the NHL this year as many expected him to do. Instead, he has reported just the opposite. The Minnesota Wild have inked Fleury to a 1-year extension worth $2.5 million.
Big news: Marc-Andre Fleury is signing a 1-year extension with #mnwild at $2.5 million.

Fleury turns 40 in November. Flower climbed to second all-time in wins (561) last season and with 21 more games, can pass Roy and Luongo for second all-time in games played by a goaltender.
Pretty much everyone expected Fleury to announce his retirement after this season, however, once the year ended for the Wild, he indicated that he would return if the situation was right. Clearly, the conversation he must have had with Wild executives went well, as they wasted no time in signing him to an extension.
Fleury has now revealed that next year will be his last year playing professional hockey in the NHL.
We salute Fleury for an incredible career so far.
