A Florida Panthers player shed some light on those first hours after the team defeated the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in Game 7 two weeks ago, clinching their maiden Stanley Cup in franchise history.

Now a Seattle Kraken defenseman, Brandon Montour revealed the team's initial celebrations on the Missin Curfew podcast.
Looking back, the parade was insane, but partying in the locker room was something else. I didn't get home until 5:30 a.m., and I might have been one of the early ones to leave.

Did you know @FlaPanthers defenseman Brandon Montour has hoisted a cup in hockey AND lacrosse!? 🏆🏒🥍
Everyone from players to staff to family were dancing to music, smoking cigars, drinking champagne and beer, having the night of their lives.
I had my gear on until 4 a.m. Families, friends, kids were in the locker room with cigars, they were smoking.
It was a night nobody affiliated with the Panthers, including fans won't forget.
The moment when all the boys were in the locker room with just each other and family and friends, that's one memory we're all going to hold on to, for sure.
