Tkachuk Scores Second OT Goal in Back-to-Back Games

The second game between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers went into overtime. Again.

However, it didn't take four supplemental periods. Matthew Tkachuk ended it in the first OT period, just as he did the last time they went into overtime.

Tkachuk's celebration after the goal was shocking for some, spectacular for others, depending on which team you root for.

All he did was jump off the ice to celebrate in the corridors leading to the locker room.


The Panthers managed to secure the first two victories of the series on Carolina soil. As they return to their home ice for the next two games, they appear to be on a path to victory, echoing their previous domination over the Leafs.
