During the third period, with the Oilers already up with a score of 4-1 over the Kings, it seemed that some Kings players wanted to send a message that they had not given up on this game or series and that there was still some fight left in them. Andreas Englund started the message sending, landing a huge hit on Evander Kane at center ice. Take a look at the hit below.
The only problem with the hit is that Evander Kane didn't play the puck as it came through center ice, and so was not eligible to be hit. While the hit did not connect with Kane's head, the Oilers still took exception to it immediately, and a brawl broke out.
The Oilers were able to feed off the brawl, ending the game with a big win over the Kings with a score of 6-1. This has put them up 2-1 in the series, and a pivotal game 4 is set for Sunday night.
