Adam Johnson's death shocked the hockey world last month. Since his unfortunate passing, many players have begun to take safety a little more seriously and several players, including Capitals forward TJ Oshie, have been seen wearing Neck Guards in game.

Oilers Players Wear Oshie's Brand Of Cut-Resistant Shirt

After the Oilers defeated the Kraken last night in a remarkable comeback, two Oilers players were seen wearing base layer shirts from the brand Warroad on a post the team made on X.

Warroad is a sports wear company that specializes in cut-resistant technology for hockey players. The brand is officially sponsored by Capitals forward TJ Oshie, who has been wearing a neck guard made by Warroad since Adam Johnson's death.

Kane Leads Oilers Comeback Over Seattle Kraken

One of the players seen in the post is Evander Kane, who stole the show last night with a natural hat-trick to start and complete the comeback for the Oilers.

Notably, Kane suffered a scary injury last season when his forearm was cut by a skate. As such, it seems fitting that he would be one of the players wearing cut-resistant base layers. Warroad shirts come with a special built in wrist protective feature, which should protect Kane from another close call.

The Oilers look to stay on the right track as they take on the Lightning in their next game on Saturday.
