Following another disappointing playoff performance from Mitch Marner, many have expected the Maple Leafs to move on from him this summer, with Unrestricted Free Agency pending in the summer of 2025. There's already been plenty of reported interest, and now, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has revealed that the Nashville Predators have plenty of interest in the star forward.
With Juuse Saros expected to be on the trade market in the coming months, the pieces for a deal are already there, with the Maple Leafs desperately needing a star net minder if they are to chase their Stanley Cup goals in 2025. As for the Predators, they need some genuine star power up front, with some talented names coming through the ranks, and if a deal can be centered around Marner for Saros, it certainly makes sense for both parties.
It's unclear yet whether Toronto are motivated to move Marner or whether they would simply listen to potential offers, but if the Predators are indeed interested in Marner, they could be a very intriguing destination.
