In case you forget, Nichushkin left Seattle in the middle of the series against the Kraken. Nichushkin was asked about the incident today during an interview at training camp. He was clear that he didn't want to dive into the matter.

Nichushkin Wants to Focus on New Season Ahead with Avalanche
There was no NHL investigation into the matter that occurred with Nichushkin, as the NHL determined that Colorado and their staff handled the incident appropriately. As such, he is fully eligible to play this season with the Avalanche.
The team doctor who called the ambulance, however, is no longer with the team. There were no comments made to confirm why they were let go or whose decision it was to let them go.
Also in this story: The #Avs physician who determined the woman was unable to take a taxi/rideshare away from the Seattle hotel is no longer with the team. He still works for UC Health.
The team declined to say whose choice it was for him not to return.
