It was just announced that the San Jose Sharks have hired Ryan Miller and Thomas Vanek as scouts.
Notable additions to #sjsharks staff today: Ryan Miller has been hired as goalie scout and goaltending development; Thomas Vanek has been hired as an amateur scout with Minnesota as his territory.
Both Miller and Vanek were teammates with #sjsharks GM Mike Grier in Buffalo.

Vanek played 1,029 career NHL games scoring 789 points split between the Sabres, Islanders, Canadiens, Wild, Red Wings, Panthers, Canucks, and Blue Jackets. He also captained the Sabres for a couple of seasons.
Miller is the most-winning American goaltender in NHL history with 391 career wins. He spent the majority of his 18-year career with the Sabres but also spent time with the Blues, Canucks, and Ducks.
Both will now look to help the Sharks in their own respective roles and hopefully help the team back to being competitive.
