Bergeron's Future Uncertain

The Boston Bruins had an amazing regular season, breaking the record for most points with 135. But their dreams were crushed in the first round of the playoffs. The Florida Panthers, even though they were losing 3-1, fought back and defeated the Bruins in seven games.
The Bruins' fans were very disappointed by this loss. But what's even more worrying is the uncertainty about their captain, Patrice Bergeron. He is 37 years old and he hasn't signed a contract for the next season. He has said that he wants to take some time to think about his future, and he might announce his retirement from professional hockey in the summer.
The final game 7 was very emotional. Bergeron, who might have played his last game at the TD Garden, looked very sad.

New Development

We're still waiting for Bergeron's official announcement about his future in the NHL. But another Bruins player, who didn't reveal his name, said that they don't expect both the captain and David Krejci to come back next season.

If this is true, it will be a huge blow for the Bruins. They are also in danger of losing Tyler Bertuzzi and Dmitry Orlov, who will become free agents on July 1st.
It looks like Boston is getting ready for a new phase.
Even though Bergeron is older, he had a great season, scoring 27 goals and making 31 assists in 71 games. He was also nominated for the Frank J. Selke Trophy, which goes to the best defensive forward in the league.
Since he started playing in the NHL, Patrice Bergeron has been a top scorer for the Boston Bruins. He has scored 427 goals and made 613 assists (1040 points) in 1294 games. He is considered one of the best two-way centers in the league.
Do you think Patrice Bergeron will be back next season?
