The Pittsburgh Penguins have made a major move heading into the final stretch of the offseason trading for a former top-10 pick to add to their lineup.
Reports are flooding in today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have made a trade with the Nashville Predators. According to Elliotte Friedman, the Penguins will be receiving former 6th overall pick
Cody Glass from the Predators.
Cody Glass was the first selection in the history of the Vegas Golden Knights at the NHL Draft. He eventually became a sacrifice to the Golden Knights' pursuit of a Stanley Cup Championship and was traded to the Nashville Predators.

In his first season with the Predators, Cody Glass had a bit of a breakout scoring 14 goals and adding 21 assists. The smooth skating center was seen as a potential piece of the Predators' new rebuild. However, in 2023-24 Cody Glass struggled only playing in 41 games and tallying just 13 total points.
With his back against the wall once again he has been dealt to another team looking for an infusion of youth into their lineup the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Penguins lack young NHL-ready players but have several up-and-coming prospects who aren't quite at the NHL level yet.
Bringing in Cody Glass allows them to give him a shot at returning to his former self. If he struggles they can always just move him into the bottom six and he can be a player who uses his skating and size on the forecheck.
