The Calgary Flames appear to be heading in the rebuilding direction after two key players have already been moved. Now the team is set to move more players as offers are already coming in on one of their defensemen.

Toronto Maple Leafs Make Substantial Offer For Calgary Flames Defenseman

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Toronto Maple Leafs have offered multiple draft picks in exchange for 34-year-old defenseman Chris Tanev. However, the offer has not been accepted as the Flames are reportedly hoping to get another 1st round pick in exchange for the veteran.

The Leafs are thought to have offered �multiple picks' for the Flames' Chris Tanev, but Calgary is holding out for a first-round pick, which could impact Noah Hanifin's chances.

NHL Insider Confirms Leafs Top Trade Target Is Flames Defenseman

According to insider Chris Johnston, Tanev is currently the Leafs' top trade target. However, he has not indicated whether or not the team would be willing to do that. Given that the Leafs have so few draft picks to work with, giving up another 1st rounder could be seen as a bridge too far.
