Paul Maurice Absolutely Loses It After One Of The Weakest Calls In The Playoffs

The Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers began their best-of-seven series on Thursday night in Carolina.

With the Hurricanes being the obvious favorites over the underdog Panthers in this Eastern Conference Final.

The game started at a good pace until the officials got involved, first giving the Panthers a penalty. They would top it off by giving Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad one of the weakest penalties we've seen in the entire playoffs.

Panthers head coach Paul Maurice would absolutely lose it on the bench, saying some words we can't repeat, as that gave the Hurricanes a two-man advantage.

Seth Jarvis would score on the power play to give the Hurricanes the 1-0 lead. The Panthers would battle back scoring two before the Hurricanes tied it up forcing overtime.

Panthers forward Ryan Lomberg looked to get the Panthers the OT winner but the goal was reviewed and called back for goaltender interference.

No Goal Due To Goaltender Interference

Maurice was enraged again, and the Hurricanes would post on social media:

Thank goodness for goaltender interference

This game would end up going to quadruple overtime, and with 12.7 seconds left Matthew Tkachuk would score the winner and this time it counted.
