Utah Narrows Choices to 6 for Team Name
The Utah Hockey Club is gearing up for the 2024-25 season with their very own NHL team, and they're letting the fans have a say in what they'll be called.
After 520,000 votes, they've narrowed it down to six options: Utah Blizzard, Utah Hockey Club (or Utah HC for short), Utah Mammoth, Utah Outlaws, Utah Venom, and Utah Yeti.
Round two of voting is underway until June 20, so there's still time to rally behind your favorite name and make your voice heard.
After taking 520,000 votes from fans, Utah's NHL team is down to six possible team names:

The Ryan Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) who own the Utah Jazz recently snagged the Arizona Coyotes and brought them over to Salt Lake City, thanks to Ryan Smith's $1.2 billion expansion fee. Meanwhile, the NHL handed Alex Meruelo $1 billion for the Coyotes franchise.
The team is set to make their debut as the "Utah" somethings, with no logo, name, or mascot just yet.
