P.K Subban makes shocking comment live on air

The first intermission between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins got extremely awkward after Steve Levy was pressing P.K Subban to make a joke live on the air. After some resistance, Subban said something that no one could have predicted.
The broadcast cut to a video feed of
Jack Eichel cutting his stick, which promoted Levy to ask Subban for a joke, and this is what he came up with.
"I'm not a carpenter but I carry around a hammer"

Making the situation even more inappropriate, Levy then responded to Subban in very awkward fashion.
"Yes, you do I have heard."
After the comments during the broadcast, ESPN might want to have a talk with Subban and Levy about what is appropriate to say on the air to hundreds of thousands of people.
Subban has been signed with ESPN as an analyst since November of 2022, following a successful NHL career spanning 13 seasons, with the Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, and Nashville Predators.
