In a scary scene during the Penguins-Stars game tonight, this Penguins rookie was rushed to the locker room in his NHL debut.

Ludvig Knocked Out While Delivering Huge Hit in Debut

In his NHL debut tonight, John Ludvig delivered a massive hit on Stars player Radek Faksa, which left Ludvig appearing to be unconscious on the ice. It appeared as the the Ludvig had to be helped off the ice by Penguins teammates.

John Ludvig is down on the ice after a collision with Radek Faksa. He is being attended to by the Penguins' medical staff.

Ludvig is able to get up and skate off the ice with some help from his teammates. Definitely a tough thing to see on a milestone night for him.
Ludvig was playing his NHL debut tonight with the Penguins, after being drafted by the Florida Panthers and spending 3 years in the AHL.
We hope Ludvig is okay and able to make a quick recovery.
