Erik Karlsson earlier in the game.
Penguins Prevail Despite Physical Attacks By The Capitals
Despite the physical style of play by the Washington Capitals the Pittsburgh Penguins pushed through and put the effort where things truly count.
Sidney Crosby and
Evgeni Malkin showed up and both had multi-point games.
Erik Karlsson despite getting crushed by Alex Ovechkin still had a point and was a plus-one by the end of the game. Karlsson has fit in seamlessly with the Penguins since being acquired this offseason.
As the season chugs along it will be interesting to see how Karlsson gels and if he can keep up his scoring production from last season.
