Former First Rounder Leaves the NHL to Go Play in Europe

It seems like its the end of an era for a former first round pick in the NHL as he has signed a two-year deal with HV71 of the Swedish Hockey League.
Borgstrom was originally drafted by the Florida Panthers 23rd overall in the 2016 Entry Draft. He played 58 games for the Panthers Borgstrom had 19 points in that three-year span.
Borgstrom was then traded to the Blackhawks along with Brett Connelly, Riley stillman and a 7th round pick for
Lucas Carlsson and Lucas Wallmark.

Borgstrom played 52 games for the Blackhawks only collecting 7 points in that span.
This past season Borgstrom signed a 1 year two-way contract with the Washington Capitals.
He only played 1 game with the capitals this past season however as part of the Hersey Bears in the AHL that just won the Hersey Bears squad.
