After another disappointing playoff performance in Toronto, changes may be coming, but it appears Mitch Marner doesn't believe he will be a part of that change.

On Monday, the Maple Leafs players began their exit interviews with the media, and unsurprisingly, all eyes were on Mitch Marner after another disappointing playoff experience. Plenty of fans expect to see him moved this summer, but what does No. 16 think of his future as a Maple Leaf?
Mitch Marner on his desire to stay in Toronto on a long-term extension: «That'd be a goal. I've expressed my love for this place, this city. Obviously I've grown up here. We'll start thinking about that now and trying to figure something out.»
It appears as though Marner's goal is to stay in Toronto long-term after all the time he's spent in the city, but after another playoff performance that saw him struggle and become invisible on the ice, it's tough to see that happening. Marner also made another statement that raised plenty of eyebrows, when he claimed Maple Leafs players in Toronto were ‘looked upon as gods'.
«We're looked up as kind of Gods here.»

Mitch Marner is hoping to stay in Toronto long-term, entering the final year of his contract ✍️

It was another intriguing year for Marner in Toronto, as he produced well in the regular season, even when his line with Auston Matthews was split up, but with Maple Leafs fans calling for big changes, we will see what Brad Treliving has in store for his star forward, who will be a UFA as of next summer.
