The Toronto Maple Leafs may be looking to move Nick Robertson, and now one rumour suggests it may help them last a former first round pick from the Jets.

Despite finally getting a taste of the NHL last season with the Maple Leafs, young winger Nick Robertson remains disgruntled, and it may lead to a trade move this summer. Now, one rumour has suggested the team could use this to land a top tier prospect in the form of former Winnipeg Jets first rounder Rutger McGroarty.
🚨 NHL Rumor Alert! 🚨 Rutger McGroarty linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs
On paper, the swap would make sense for both teams, as the Jets would get a young winger that's NHL ready and wants to prove it in the NHL, while the Maple Leafs would likely be able to convince McGroarty to come to the NHL immediately. At Michigan a year ago, McGroarty dominated en route to 52 points in just 36 games played, and while many expected him to make the NHL move, he appears intent on avoiding Winnipeg.
It's unclear whether or not Robertson would welcome a move to the Jets, but with the team reportedly trying to ship out Nikolaj Ehlers, opening up a spot on the wing, Robertson could be a good, young replacement with plenty of potential for the future.
