Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan has made CHL history, passing Connor Bedard in the process.

Cowan, has been as advertised. The Leafs' first-round pick from last summer's draft has been on a heater in London. He's been on fire, for the OHL-leading Knights and made history in Sunday's regular-season finale. He surpassed some big names like Logan Stankoven and Connor Bedard to claim the third-longest point streak in CHL history.
Cowan later recorded a goal of his own to give London insurance.
Now, only Sidney Crosby (37), a former Rimouski Océanic, and Alexander Radulov (50) of the Quebec Remparts stand ahead of him. The victory helped London (50-14-4) clinch the OHL regular season title for the first time since 2013.

Easton Cowan makes history

The Leafs saw something special in him with the 28th overall pick, even when most scouts had him listed as a third-round pick. He's proving everyone wrong with his 96 points through 54 games and showing why he deserved that first-round nod.
Yes, there's still a long road ahead for the teenager, but Cowan has that grit and determination you can't teach. He's coachable, too, which bodes well for his future in the NHL.
Whether he matches Crosby's legendary streak or not, Cowan is making his mark, Leafs nation is thrilled.
If this is what Cowman is like in the regular season, the excitement for what he'll do in the playoffs begins Friday against the eighth-seeded Flint Firebirds (30-33-5).
