In a new post on X, we learned that the controversial goaltender Carter Hart is rumoured to sign a new contract in Russia, amid the trial for the 2018 World Junior Championship scandal.

Earlier this year, five members of the 2018 edition of Team Canada at the World Junior Championship faced charges and have left their NHL teams.

New rumor states that Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart could sign a contract in the KHL.

It was shared on X that Carter Hart could be looking to make a comeback in profesionnal hockey by signing a contract in Russia.

We also learned that Hart can't play outside the United States during the legal procedures. Just like Dillon Dube, Cal Foote, Michael McLeod and Alex Formenton.

However, after the trial, one of his only chances of playing pro hockey will be in the KHL, that's why it wouldn't be surprising to see him sign there.

"He is not allowed to play outside the country while on charge & prior the trial. Thereafter though, depending on the ruling & politics surrounding the situation, I could see him playing in Russia."

Hart, Dube, Foote, McLeod and Formenton's futures in hockey are still unknown at the moment. However, Gary Bettman confirmed that they wouldn't be eligible to play in the NHL while the procedures go on.

Details will follow.
