Arbitration Date for Ilya Samsonov is Officially set

Last off season the Leafs signed a 1-year $1.8 million AAV after the Washington Capitals choose to not qualify the Russian goalie.
He became the starter for the Leafs and has filed for arbitration.
After a bounce-back year for Ilya Samsonov, reports say he is asking for a new contract of $4-$5 million salary and the Leafs offer is expected to much lower.

A new contract for Samsonov would mean a trade or buyout is inevitable for
Matt Murray.
The Leafs had a tandem of Samsonov and Murray last season and was going to split games with them. However Samsonov stole the show in Toronto.
Finishing the season with a record of 27-10-5 with a 2.33 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.919.
In the playoffs Ilya Samsonov's numbers took a hit where in 8 games he finished with a 3.13 GAA and a 0.898%.
The Leafs will most likely have a tandem of
Joseph Woll and Ilya Samsonov.
