Sergachev Reacts to Media Misinterpretation
After the Maple Leafs lost in the playoffs, Mikhail Sergachev faced a lot of attention from the media. They spread rumors that he had mocked the Maple Leafs for celebrating their lone playoff series victory.

But Sergachev has now hit back at the media, claiming they are spreading fake news.

Sergachev took to Instagram to directly respond to the media's unreliable reporting. Here's what he said:

In reality, Sergachev wasn't teasing the Maple Leafs. The misinterpretation made it seem like he was criticizing them, but he was actually acknowledging their gameplay and partial success. The media's mistake distorted his words and unfairly portrayed him as a detractor.
