Reporter Predicts Tyler Bertuzzi's Role In Toronto
In a recent article, Tyler Bertuzzi's role in Toronto was predicted and there is a strong case for him being a top player.
Bertuzzi Could Be The Perfect Fit
This offseason, Tyler Bertuzzi came in as one of the hottest commodities on the free agent market. His physicality and offensive capabilities are a blend not commonly seen in todays game.
Last year, Bertuzzi posted 30 points in 50 games while struggling with injuries but despite that, he exploded in the playoffs with 11 points in 7 games. In 2021-22, Bertuzzi posted 30 goals and 62 points in 68 games. He did so while playing alongside Detroit's top players as well.

Peter Baracchini of The Hockey Writers, took a look into Tyler Bertuzzi and who he should play with next season with the Maple Leafs.
Seeing as Bertuzzi managed to play with top names, the hope is that it can carry over with two more star-studded players in
Auston Matthews and
Mitch Marner.
Matthews and Marner are two premier NHL players and have cycled through linemates throughout the years. With the departure of
Michael Bunting, the hole in the first line is wide open.
With his history of being a good player for top players, he could be a 100 point candidate in Toronto if he develops chemistry with Matthews and Marner.
Regardless of who he plays with in Toronto, if he plays in the top six, we can expect to see him as a point per game player, or close to it.
